Kindness Farm is a very special place to work. Our work culture is safe, inclusive, supportive, and radically different from the prevalent work-culture out there these days. Scroll down to see our open positions and read more about our philosophy.

Community Programs & Partnerships Coordinator

Help keep the many moving pieces of Kindness Farm connected. This role coordinates programs, schedules, communication, and team logistics while building and maintaining relationships with schools, volunteers, community organizations, and other partners. We’re looking for someone highly organized, warm, independent, and excited to advocate for our work and community.

Farm Educator/Land-Tender

Help people build meaningful relationships with land, food, and community. This role combines hands-on education with regenerative land care, facilitating field trips, workshops, and volunteer learning days while working alongside participants to plant, harvest, compost, build soil, and care for the farm. We’re looking for someone warm, confident, independent, and equally excited about teaching people and tending land.

Kindness Farm

A Regenerative Workplace

We’ve been hard at work creating a radically regenerative workplace. Our goal has been to create a workplace that followed an entirely different kind of model from the one we see so often in our society. We wanted to create a workplace in which…

  • We were all dedicated to creating true, lasting change in our community.

  • Work felt so nourishing that it became a welcomed and celebrated part of life.

  • Work-life balance was actively supported in many ways.

  • Personal and professional growth were intertwined, deep trust was built, and the community became a supportive family.

  • No one was afraid to share what they really think just because they’re different - because here we’re all different, yet we’re all equally valued.

  • Individuals were held accountable for their work and actions, but offered opportunities for growth instead of being reprimanded.

  • We didn’t shy away from difficult conversations or self-examination.

  • Everyone was treated with respect, love, and kindness.

To accomplish this, we operate with the understanding that:

  1. While our staff is employed by the farm, they don’t work for our organization, they are our organization.

  2. Seeking feedback and deeply listening to our staff is crucial to our success. Everyone must feel that they can openly communicate their challenges, needs, and desires without fear.

Through a lot of dedication, feedback, discussion, and self-reflection, we’ve built a strong, solid culture amongst staff and community members, and look forward to meeting the challenges and victories that will come as we grow with openness and flexibility.

“I have learned so much during my time at Kindness Farm and am deeply grateful for the opportunity to work alongside you all. The team has been understanding, encouraging, supportive, and invigorating. Thank you so much for our time together and for creating a workplace that sets such a high bar in terms of how humanizing an employment opportunity can be. I wish you all the very best and I look forward to staying connected.”
